George Washington Pettigrew, Sr.

Bev Kline, who knows the most about the Petticrew / Pettigrew descendants of James Petticrew and Jane Ainsworth, believes that George Washington is the son of William (son of James and Jane) and not of John Pettigrew and Mary Ward, as I originally hypothesized. There is no will for William unfortunately. It may be that the significant DNA match the descendants of William's son James (married to Sarah Kinney) have with the descendants of George Washington is the best evidence we will have.

Perhaps relevant is the naming of a daughter Isabella?
