MEMORIAL PHOTOS 3 FLOWERS 1 George M. the youngest of six children born to George M. and Armilda Yapp near Indianola, Ill., April 11, 1857 and departed this life April 3 1930 at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 23 days. He lived here with his mother until he was 14 years of age, his father having died when he was two weeks old. When he was fourteen years of age he with his mother, two brothers and sister, came overland to Jewell county, Kansas to the home of his fathers sister, Mrs. D. W. Pate, on the west Limestone.

In 1871 his mother homesteaded on the west Limestone where he grew to manhood. On August 18, 1885 he was united in marriage to Carrie Belle Mason. To this union eleven children were born, Grace, Edna, Otis P., Rockford G., Hazel D., Mabel, Ethel, Helen, Amos, Leo, and Fred Mason, who died in infancy.

He was stricken with paralysis in June, 1927 and remained an invalid until death. In his young manhood he united with the Presbyterian church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, ten children, ten grandchildren, and his sister, Mary E. who still lives on the old homestead.
