1248 August 11 Gerard of Rhodes gave a guarantee to the Countess of Flanders for Florent of Holland for the sum of 7200 pounds of Flanders (Ibid.,IV,535andp.XXXV).
1252, May The knight Gerard, lord of Rode or Schelderode, gives to the abbey of Eenham (Ename) 2 boroughs of land situated in Melsen and Venrste (Ibid., VII, 858).
1252 October 22 Gerard, lord of Rhodes, approves the sale of this avouerie and the domain of Borsbeke, in Lettel-Houthem, which had been made to the abbey of St. Bavon, by Gerard de Berleghem, who held these goods in fief from him (Ibid., V , 43).
1284, August 8 Knight Gerard de Rodes, sgr. of Melle, and Isabelle, lady of Heestert, renounce, at the request of the widow of William, count of Flanders, their feudal rights on goods located in Heestert (Ibid., VII, 1106 - 1107).
1284, August 9 Guy, count of Flanders and Marquis of Namur, approves the act by which the knight Gerard de Rode and his wife had endowed a chapel attached to the beguinage of Kortrijk. (Ibid).
