About Graciana Luján de Castillo
Information provided by Joseph Herman Sanchez, 8th great grandson
After a little research, Garciana the wife of Alonzo Ortiz Baca has been described as Native American in a number of ways, as a woman of Analio, said to be a tribe at Pueblo de Sandia, as belonging to a tribe of Apache called Lipar, which traded with the Pueblo villages on a daily basis, as member of the Tiwa tribe of New Mexico and as a Mistizo Mulata Native American. Most ancestor sites state that she was Native American and that no other information is known about her parents. It is said that Alonzo had only one wife.
