About Hannah Hall


Hannah Henchman, daughter of Daniel Henchman (Indian Fighter) and Sarah Woodward, was born in 1653 in England, and died 23 September 1719 in Middletown, Connecticut, where she is buried in the Riverside Cemetery.

She married first to William Sumner III in about 1678 in Middletown. William Sumner was born 9 February 1656 in Boston, the son of William Sumner, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Clement. He had married first to Rachel, daughter of William Avery.

Hannah Henchman married second, on 22 NOV 1705 in Middletown, to Capt. John Hall. He was born 20 September 1648 in Hartford and died 25 November 1711 in Middletown, the son of Richard Hall, Sr. and his wife Mary Anthony.

There were 6 Sumner children:
