Henrietta Fish

Henrietta (not Lewis) was born in 1535 in Great Bowden, Leicestershire, England. She married Augustine Fyshe about 1550 in Great Bowden. Children: Augustine, John, Thomas. She died about 1579 in Great Bowden.

The correct maiden name of Farmer comes from another Augustine Fish who married Henrietta Farmer a century later. In the old parish church of Great Bowden, inside the north wall of the chancel is the Fish tablet, erected to the memory of Henrietta, wife of Augustine Fish, Gentleman, and daughter of Sir Edward Farmer of Middlesex, Knight, who died in 1703. [1] This Augustine Fish was a cousin twice removed of the Cape Cod immigrants, and a great-grand nephew of William Fish of Windsor, Conn.
