1. Henry Sr served in the Revolutionary War from Washington County, Virginia and in 1782 was allowed 15 pounds for a horse lost in Service. Henry Sr.'s service is on record at the DAR headquarters in Washington. Henry Yeary Sr. and his son Henry Yeary Jr. at age 15 fought at King's Mountain. Henry Sr. was wounded and may have walked with a limp there after.
2. The land that Henry Sr. had in Lee County, Virginia was formed from Russell County October 25, 1792 . Petitioners for a place for holding court and establishing a town on December 10, 1792, listed by Hattie Bales in Early Settlers of Lee County, Virginia and Adjacent Counties, Volume II.
The Yeary family start with this individual and nobody has been able to find the link to the parents or the home land. My grandfather told me that the beginning of the Yearys was Scotland.
