Huszár Pufi was the first Hungarian movie star. He also starred in German and American Films, even in the first version of the Blue Angel.

Witness in his wedding was Mr Jenő Heltai, a famous Hungarien writer, Theodor Herzl's cousin.

He tried to escape the Nazis to Russia, but was arrested in Vladivostok, and died several days later in a Gulag near Karaganda.
