ISOBEL WEIR
According to John Anderson's account of the family of Hamilton of Raploch, Isobel Weir here treated is the daughter of Weir of Blackwood, although he does not say which Weir of Blackwood. Hamilton Memoirs, p. 364 Peter Barns-Graham suggests that she may be a daughter of Thomas Weir of Blackwood. Stirnet: Weir 01
Marriage
According to John Anderson, James Hamilton of Raploch married Isobel Weir, daughter of Weir of Blackwood. They are said by him to have had a conjunct infeftment of the lands of Blackwood dated 25 June 1508 Hamilton Memoirs, p. 364
