As for the second matter, which is much more complicated. I think you you are, in fact, the only person able to solve. Incidentally, it could be of importance for your own research. Several years ago, at the Baranovich auction, there was offered the private mohelbuch from Prague. The price was extremely high and it was not sold.
It contains genealogical data from the period from which there is no official mohelbuch. The owner and the people around the auction did not know the name of the mohel. According to clues they had given I was able to identify the mohel with certainty. It was rosh ha-kahal Israel ben Simon Fränkel - Spira! He carried out brit mila as a mitzva, he did it mostly for the families from among the élite. Some persons tried to get information on the owner of the genealogical treasure, but without success. I am sure you will succed.
