About Jack Vernon Midgley
I've got quite a lot of info about my great-uncle, Jack Vernon Midgley, killed in action at Bapaume, France in 1918, tragically just a few weeks before the war ended. I visited his grave in the Somme with my son Ben a couple of years ago. But I'm puzzled by a reference to his engagement to Jenny Feathery, about whom I can find no information - I'm intrigued by what may have happened to her after the war. I wonder if you know anything about this? I assume she would have been from Amberley where Jack was employed before joining the army.
