He married Anneke (in den Hoven) DeHaven, (daughter of Evert (in den Hoven) DeHaven and Lisebiet Schippenbauer) April 29, 1712 in Bensalem Dutch Reformed Church, Bucks, Pennsylvania; born January 1, 1690 at Menden in Mülheim on the Ruhr, Westphalia, Germany; died September 10, 1745 in Perkiomen, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

He was buried in Mennonite Cem., Skippackville, , Pennsylvania.
