The Testament Dative and Inventory of the deceased James, Lord Boyd, was given up by Everild Creyk, who is identified as: "sister to dame Kathren Boyd and now the spous to Richard Mosgrave of Collinghame" who was the only executrix dative decerned by the Commissary Court of Edinburgh. Confirmation was granted to Everlid Creyk on 23 October 1655. 4 July 1672: Discharge by William Earl of Kilmarnock to John Earl of Glencairn proceeding upon a narrative that the deceased William Earl of Glencairn lord high Chancellor of Scotland, was appointed tutor testamentar to him by the deceased James Lord Boyd his father by his latter will and testament, dated 2 December 1641, and having accepted of the office of tutory did enter into a contract with William Craik of the City of York (uncle of the Earl of Kilmarnock) dated 25 June 1655 by which the said William Craik renounced all claim which he had to the Earl's tutory in favour of the said William Earl of Glencairn who obliged himself to pay to the said William Craik and [ Everlid ] Craik his sister and Richard Musgrave Esq. her husband certain sums of money due to them by the said James Lord Boyd and for payment of which did grant factories for uplifting the rents of the Earls estate whereupon the Earl raised summons against the deceased Alexander Earl of Glencairn eldest son and heir served and retoured to the said William Earl of Glencairn for compt reckoning etc and subsuming that John Earl of Glencairn brother german and heir served and retoured to the said Alexander Earl of Glencairn had made compt reckoning and payment etc in full of whatsoever debts sums of money etc by the said William Earl of Glencairn & wherewith he ought and should have intromitted as tutor protutor and curator foresaid etc. Therefore discharges the said John Earl of Glencairn etc. Witnesses Colonel Robert Cunningham uncle of the Earl Mr Hugh Wallace Advocate etc. At Edinburgh.
