Jan Stenbeck (14 November 1942 in Stockholm, Sweden – 19 August 2002 in Paris, France) was a Swedish media owner. He was brother of the former Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Margaretha af Ugglas. Stenbeck was one of Sweden's wealthiest people, worth some $800 million.
Stenbeck graduated with a law degree from Uppsala University and later graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School. After Harvard, he went to work at for Morgan Stanley at Wall Street.
After his father, Hugo Stenbeck, had died, Jan Stenbeck returned to Sweden and gained control over Investment AB Kinnevik after a bitter feud with his sister. Control of the group was passed to his daughter Cristina Stenbeck after his death of a heart attack.
