About 1810, Jane and her husband James Dinsmore along with her father Andrew McDaniel and her brother Archie McDaniel, relocated to Alabama and settled near Huntsville in Madison County.
In 1821, Jane accompanied her husband James Dinsmore to Morgan County, where she resided until her death on August 21, 1857.
She was the mother of ten children (two sons and eight daughters), the youngest of whom resided in Limestone County.
Jane Dinsmore was a devout member of the Presbyterian Church for 50 years. She lived and died a Christian. She dedicated to God her younger children in the Court House in Huntsville, when at that time, the church congregation had no other place to worship.
