John Crawford has been connected to Patrick (Crawford) Crawfurd XIIth of Auchinames (abt.1608-abt.1649) and his wife Jane (Unknown) Crawford (abt.1598-abt.1658). This is an unsourced connection and needs further research. A birth record was not found at Scotlands People under any surname spelling.

If he is in fact the son of Patrick and Jane Crawford, he would not have been born in 1618, but rather sometime after William, heir of Auchinames was born in 1627. As a result, the birth date has been adjusted to 1628. Crawford-15512 19:44, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

John is believed to have married Judith Bradford 1643-1722 but there is no marriage data available at Scotlands People or FamilySearch. They produced two children.

John is believed to have died about 1693 in Middlelton,Monmouth,New Jersey,USA, although no source has been found.
