Notes

Update June 2018 from Private User

As well I believe that I recently discovered when and from where John Of Norfolk came from; although I don’t know who his parents were. John arrived in Virginia from Bristol England as an indentured servant on the ship submission in the year 1670. You can find him on the indentured people’s database on a website called virtualJamestown.com. He was indentured to a man named Thomas Wooton. You can find that on the website as well. Also, the John Freeman of Norfolk Virginia book (of which I own a copy) has Thomas Wooton listed as the neighbor of John Freeman in the year 1673.
The current thinking from our DNA project is that his wife Hannah lived next door to his indenture and she was willed the land that he later ended up owning after they wed.
