John Melville, 2nd of Raith

Sir John Melville, 2nd of Raith was the son of John Melville, 1st of Raith and unknown daughter Stewart.1 He married Margaret Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott, 5th of Balwearie.1 He died before August 1463.1

When Sir John 2nd Raith Melville was born in 1398, his father, John, was 47 and his mother, Ne, was 48. He had two sons and one daughter with Marjorie (of Balwearie) Scott between 1413 and 1449. He died in 1463 at the age of 65.
