A Patriot of the American Revolution for MASSACHUSETTS. DAR Ancestor # A112858

John Taylor (1722-1799) served as a Sergeant in the French and Indian War in charge of the Minister's fort in Colerain. He went to Canada with John Hawks in 1748 to return Sieur Raimbault.

He was a delegate from Shelburne to the First Provincial Congress of Massachusetts, 1774.

He was Moderator, Surveyor of Highways, Selectman, and Assessor, 1778.
