SIR JOHN WALLACE OF CRAIGIE

Biographical Summary

John, younger brother of James, was the next owner of Craigie, he was known as The Good Laird. He married Janet, daughter of Sir Robert Logan of Restalrig by his wife Catherine Stewart, an illegitimate daughter of James lll. John died at an early age, leaving a widow and infant daughter, the administration of his estate devolving on his younger brother William, who, in 1527, was styled Tutor of Craigie.
