Joseph Bell served in the Revoluntary War.
Joseph & Nancy Davenport Bell came to Ky from Va. (probably Buckingham Co.) with five sons: William. James, John, Joseph Jr. and Thomas. They Arrived in Wayne County int the early 1800's, they were in Wayne County in 1814 because William signed up to Jooin Captain Adam Vickery's Company of Slaughter's Regiment. and when they were ready to go John Bell (Bill's younger brother) took Bill's place. I assume Joseph their father made the call for John to replace Bill. There is no record that this happened. The family settled on Rock Creek, Jan 13, 1815 Joseph Sr. was a farmer and a Bell. This was where Bell Farm got it's name, From Joseph.
