Katherine ("Cabell" in French) Brashear was born c1622-1632. Her birth was registered on the Isle of Thanet in Kent Co., England as "Kathe born in 1622" which may be a copying error. She may have been born as late as 1632. Her father Robert moved moved to the Isle of Thanet about 1622. (Reference: IGI file #8104402-4)

A native of Holland, MARK CLARE, arrived in Maryland in 1651 and married a daughter of (Robert) Brasseur. Katherine is the logical selection from Robert Brasseur's daughters. Mark Clare witnessed Robert Brashier's will in 1665.
