Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan was the son of William Mackintosh, 15th of Mackintosh and Margaret Ogilvie.2 A contract for the marriage of Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan and Agnes Mackenzie was signed on 11 May 1567.1 He died in 1606.1
He held the position of 17th Chief of Clan Chattan in 1550.1 The forfeiture of 1550 was reversed in his favour.1 In 1560 he surrendered his lands into the hands of Mary, Queen of Scots and received a regrant of his lands in Lochaber and of the stewartry and bailiary of the whole Ldship of Lochaber.1
