Note Born 1567 not 1590 as listed. Son Robert Phillips Born 1582 did not inherit Picton Castle. family estates finally were inherited by John Philips who married Sir John's daughter Anne.
Anne Perrott Phillips 1567 was born to Sir John Perrott 1528 and Jane Pollard at Haroldstone, Pembrokshire Wales. Her first born son, Robert Phillips of Picton Castle was born 1582, & did NOT inherit the Picton Estate, that went to a younger brother born about 1590.

- Sir RICHARD PHILIPPS , m. (1) Elizabeth , daughter of Sir Erasmus Dryden , bart. , grandfather of the poet , and (2) Catherine , daughter of Daniel Oxenbridge , M.D. He took the side of Parliament in the Civil War and garrisoned Picton castle , which was taken by the Royalists on 30 April 1644 , when his children were imprisoned. He d. 1648.

Estate
Philipps made his will on 10 Jan. and died 27 Mar. 1629. He was buried at Slebech as he had requested. The Clog y fran lands with the ‘growing grain, oxen, kine, bulls and pigs’ were left to the widow [Margaret], while the Pembrokeshire properties passed to the eldest son and executor, Richard, who proved the will 11 June 1629. Two unmarried daughters received £500 each and provision for their wedding clothes, and another daughter, Elizabeth, who was already married ‘and I am given to understand in Ireland’—in fact she was married to Edward Medhope, clerk of the House of Commons in Ireland—received £250. Philipps left £12 to St. David’s cathedral, and small bequests to his servants. The overseers of the will included his sons-in-law, Sir James Hamilton, and Sir Francis Annesley.5
