Martha was born before1660.

Col. John Scarbrook and Mary Martiau had at least two children, one named Jane Duke; another daughter, Elizabeth Condon later widowed then married to a Mountford. [1]

Evidently Mary Martiau died. John Scarsbrook married Elizabeth, the daughter of a Mrs. Bushrod.

John SCASBROOK of York Co. in his will named his two oldest daughters Jane DUKE and Elizabeth CONDON executrices and directs that anything recovered from Mrs. BUSHROD's (his second wife's mother?) estate be divided among his four minor children, Martha, Mary, Hannah and John SCASBROOK.

In 1683 in a suit to settle the SCARSBROOK estate, Capt. Thomas MOUNTFORD is mentioned as having "married the surviving executrix of Col. SCASBROOK."

Martha Scarbrook, married Captain William Cary, youngest son of Miles Cary, the immigrant ; and Captain William Cary's daughter. [2]
