Martha Mary Ellison

Mary Rishton was born abt 1596 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England and died on 2 January 1666 in Hepstead, Nassau County, New York, Colonal America.

Parents: Jeffrey Rishton (1560-1640) and Maria Pemmerton (1580-1611)

Married:

1. on 8 Jun 1621 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England to Lawrence Ellison.

Children:

1. Richard Ellison. Born probably before 1620. Died before 13 June 1683 in Hempstead. The name of his wife Thomasin appears on the Braintree records, and it appears in his will. Children: Mary, Hannah, John, Sarah, Thomas, Experience, Richard, Catherine.
2. Thomas Ellison. Born about 1622, died 1697. He was allotted land in Hempstead in 1658, and was chosen townsman in 1662. His will names his wife Martha ---. Children: Thomas, John, Grace, Mary, Elizabeth (was she wife of Jonathan Smith?) Martha.
3. John Ellison. Born about 1624. In 1677 he got land in Hempstead. He left no will. He had a son John who went to Kikiat, Orange County, N.J. and died 1754. He had perhaps a son Thomas, wife unknown, with nine children.
4. Catherine married John Ellington.
