- MARTHA HAZARD (Robert 2; Thomas 1). She died in 1753 ; her husband was Thomas Wilcox, son of Stephen and Hannah (Hazard) Wilcox. On May 17, 1710, Wilcox and seventeen others bought two thousand acres of the vacant lands ordered sold by the Assembly. Their home was in Exeter.

- Married: (1) Thomas Wilcox; on May, 17,1710 in RI British Colonies. Thomas Wilcox was of Kingston, RI in 1710 and on May 17 of that year, bought, with others, 2000 acres of vacant land ordered sold by the assembly. His will was proved Apr. 9, 1728 and by it he gave to his seven sons land in equal divisions and to his wife the stock and household goods and Negro man, also the housing until the youngest son, Edward was of age, when she was to have the best room. He and seventeen others bought 2,000 acres of the vacant lands ordered sold by Assembly. 1728, Apr. 9. Will—proved. Exx. wife Martha. Overseer, brother-in-law Stephen Hazard. To seven sons, certain land, equally, viz : eldest son Robert, and Stephen, Jeffrey, Thomas, Abraham, George and Edward. To sons George and Edward, the part of land where house stands, the north side being Edward's part, and neither to sell except to the other. To wife, the stock and household goods and negro man, and also the housing till youngest son Edward is of age, and after that she to have the best room. The young children to be brought up by wife. 1743, Oct. 18. Will—proved 1753, Jan. 9. Widow Martha, of Exeter. Ex. Thomas Sweet, of North Kingstown. To daughter Hannah Place, interest of £200, for life, and to said daughter's heirs at death. To eldest daughter of Hannah, if she ever happen to have any, a bed, chest, &c., and to second daughter of Hannah, a brass kettle. To sons Robert, Stephen, Jeffrey, Thomas, George, Edward and Abraham, 5s., each. To daughter Hannah Place, rest of estate. (Enoch Place receipted for legacy). Inventory, £259, 7s. -

- Jeffrey Wilcox; was born 1690 in North Kingston, Kings Co., Rhode Island. He died 1759 in New Hampshire. Jeffrey married Sarah HIMES, daughter of James HYMES and Sarah SPINK, on 24 Apr 1726 in Westerly, Kings Co., Rhode Island. Sarah was born 1706.
- Thomas Wilcox; b October 24, 1693, in North Kingston, Kings Co., Rhode Island. He died before 18 Feb 1760. Thomas married (1) Anne HIMES. Anne was born 1708 in North Kingston, Kings Co., Rhode Island. She died before 3 Mar 1744. Thomas also married (2) Abigail ARNOLD. Abigail was born about 1723 in Exeter, Kings Co., Rhode Island. She died after 12 Jan 1760.

Martha Hazard, daughter of Robert and Mary Brownell Hazard died 1753; married Thomas Wilcox, died 1743, and had eight children. Robert, born 1687; married Catherine Lillibridge. Stephen. Jeffery. Thomas, born October 24, 1693. Abra- ham. George. Edward. Haxxah.
On May 17, 17 10, he and seventeen others at Kings Town bought two thousand acres of land ordered sold by the Assembly.
Her husband's will, dated April, 1728, appointed her as executrix, and her brother-in-law, Stephen Hazard, overseer. He willed "to *even sons certain land equally, viz: Eldest son Robert, Stephen, Jeffery, Thomas, Abraham, George and Edward ; to sons George and Edward, the part of land where house stands, the north side being Edward's part, and neither to sell except to the other; to wife, the stock and household goods and negro man, and also housing till youngest son Edward is of age, and after that she to have best room ; the young children to be brought up by my wife."
On October 18, 1743, she made her will which was proven January 9, 1753, calling herself, widow, Martha of Exeter. In it Thomas Sweet of North Kings Town was named as executor. She willed "to her daughter Hannah Place, interest of two hundred pounds for life, and to said daughter's heirs at death ; to eldest daughter of Hannah, if she happen to have any, bed, chest, etc., and to second daughter, a brass kettle; to sons Robert, Stephen, Jeffery, Thomas, George. Edward and Abraham, five shillings each daughter Hannah Place, rest of estate." (Enoch Place receipted for legacy).
