Mary French was born about March 14, 1683/84, a daughter of John French and Hannah Palmer of Rehoboth, Massachusetts [1] [2] [3].[4] In birth order she was their third known child.

On April 10, 1711 she married Jonathan Bliss, the son of Jonathan Bliss and Miriam Harmon of Rehoboth, Massachusetts [5] [2] [3], and their children included:

  1. Mary Bliss, born November 23, 1712[6], who married Joseph Peck in Rehoboth, and then a Mr. Fuller[5]
  2. Hannah Bliss, born January 7, 1715[6], who married Timothy Fuller in 1737[5]
  3. Bethia Bliss, born May 10, 1716[6], who died in 1738[5]
  4. Rachel Bliss, born August 10, 1719[6], who married Aaron Fuller of Rehoboth in 1740[5]
  5. Jonathan Bliss died October 16, 1719 [7].

On October 25, 1752, Mary (French) Bliss (widow) married Peter Hunt (as his 3rd wife) [5] [8] [9].

Mary (French/Bliss) Hunt died December 10, 1754, at age 71[5] , and is buried in the Palmer River Churchyard Cemetery in Rehoboth, Massachusetts: Find A Grave: Memorial #44430401
