Mary Hannah Beck (Hannah Maria Bjorkbacka) was the daughter of Victor Bjorkbacka (Beck) and Hilma Kangas Beck of Finland. Hannah was born in Finland and came to the United States with her father and mother as a child. She married Ernest Victor Lehto, I, another Finnish emigre and they had the following children:

Because both of Hannah's parents died by the time she was 21, Hannah and Ernest raised her youngest sister Kathleen Beck Floyd who was about 5 years old at the time of their parents' death. Hannah was a very strong woman and loved her family.
