About Michael Aynsley

Obituary

The death of Mr Michael Aynsley at Greymouth (says the Kumara Times), came as a surprise to his many friends. It appears that he was about making a new home at Korura, Greymouth, and had been paying a visit to the northern town, attending the funeral of the late Hon James Kerr. He look bad on the following day, Thursday, from inflammation of the lungs and never rallied. He was an old resident of Ross, having arrived on the coast in the earliest days and has resided for the past 27 years on the Greenstone. He was 66 years of age and a native of England. He leaves a wife and a family of 16 children, the youngest being about six years of age, for whom the greatest sympathy is offered by all West Coasters.
