Joseph Goodman who lived in Albemarle county married a woman named Nancy Michie, not Elizabeth, on Dec. 2,1786. The 1790 census shows them with no children. The 1800 census is lost, and 1810 shows them with two daughters. If this Joseph had any connection to Obediah and the other children attached to him, there is no documentation. They would have to be by an earlier wife and no longer living with their father by 1790. This Joseph was birn in Hanover County and lived his entire adult life in Albemarle County.
