Patrick Bogle of Hamilton's Farm is the second son but ultimately the oldest surviving son of John Bogle of Hamilton's Farm and his wife Janet Miller. He was born before 16 July 1721, the date upom which his baptism was registered at Glasgow in Lanarkshire, Scotland. [Glasgow Baptismal Records] He succeeded his elder brother at Hamilton's Farm in the parish of Rutherglen.
