In the 1806 Muster, worked for Mr Cox on the Hawkesbury. Musthave married about 1803-5 to Catherine perhaps McDaniels (b.c1776) also on "Rolla" and 7 yrs. In the 1828 census, Patrick was a constable at Cornwallis andhad 40 acres of which 15 were cleared, 2 horses and 8 cattle.Also had 48 rods of land in George St Windsor purchased fromLawrence Halfpenny. 1835 64 rods of land in George St was given by Patrick Byrnethe elder to Patrick Byrne Jnr. [in 1857 Patrick Jnr and Janesold the land to William Patrick for 100 pounds. In 1866 WilliamPatrick mortaged the land.]

Patrick Byrne came out from Ireland on the Rolla, arriving in Port Jackson 12th May, 1803. The ship's master was Cummins. There were 2 Patrick Byrne's on the Rolla, both transported for 7 years and lived in the Windsor area. This Patrick Byrne was married to a Catherine at the time of the 1828 census who also came out on the Rolla, 1803.
Patrick & Catherine lived in the Windsor area and had 2 sons, John b 1805, and Patrick b 1807. No birth or baptism records for either.
17th January 1818, Lawrence Halfpenny transferred 32 rods of land (approx 160msq) in George St WIndsor to Patrick Byrne. Today it is 267 George St, Windsor.
21/4/1825 Patrick Byrne received a land grant of 40 acres.
15/9/1825 Patrick Byrne was appointed Constable of Cornwallis
1835 transferred his land in George St Windsor (62 rods) to his son Patrick Byrne Jnr
