Kira Melita Feodora Marie Viktoria Alexandra Prinzessin zu Leiningen was born on 18 July 1930 at Coburg, Bayern, Germany.
Kira was the daughter of Friedrich Karl Eduard Erwin HSH Karl 6th Prince of Leiningen and his wife HRH Mariya Kirillovna Romanov Grand Duchess of Russia.
On 18 September 1963, Kira married Prince Andrej Karageorgievich of Yugoslavia, son of King Alexander I Karageorgievich of Yugoslavia and Marie von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen Princess of Romania, at Langten Green, Kent, England, in a civil marriage.
On 12 October 1963, Kira and Andrej were also married in a religious ceremony at Amorbach, Bayern, Germany.
On 10 July 1972, Kira and Andrej Karageorgievich Prince of Yugoslavia were divorced at Frankfurt-am-Main, Hessen, Germany.
Kira died on 24 September 2005 at age 75.
