From papers in the Revoutionary War pension claims #3568, it appears that Abraham Leasure was born in 1763 at Fourteen Mile Run in Westmorland Co. PA day and month not stated.

While residing near Greensburg in Westmorland Co Pa, he enlisted and served in the PA troops as follows:

8/1/1777 - 3 months in Capt Maunts' Co 9/1/1778 - 3 months in Capt Tittle's Co summer 1799 - 3 months in Capt Leasures' Co ( this is his brother) 10/1/1799 - 3 months in Capt Cochel's Co 7/1/1780 - 3 months in Capt Dill's Co 3/1781 - 2 months office not named

He was allowed a pension on his application executed 9/9/1833 while a resident in Butler Co PA

He married 7/5/1795, in Westmoreland Co PA Jane Marshall. She was allowed a pension on her application executed 6/21/1851, while a resident of Buffalo Twp, Butler Co, PA aged 73 years.

The names of the following children are given Margaret born 12/31/1798 married Jacob Somy or Fomey, James , born 2/28/1800; William aged 33 in 1853 and Catherine, aged 35 in 1853, both at that time residents of Butler Co PA.

The names of John Leasure and another Abraham Leasure appear, no relationship to soldier given.
