Biography
RALPH l de Langetot d. aft 1087/1100 Domesday Book records “Ralph de Lanquetot holds of Walter Giffard” holding land in Dunton and Campton in Biggleswade Hundred, Bedfordshire. [1]
Keats-Rohan:
Radulph De Langetot
Norman, from Lanquetot, Seine-Maritime, arr. Le Havre, cant. Bolbec, a follower and tenant of Walter I Giffard (Loyd, 53). Tenant of Abingdon Abbey in the early twelfth century. His daughters were Matilda wife of Ranulf fitz Walter and Alice wife of Roger de Chesny. Matilda occurs as sister of Ranulf de Langetoth in a confirmation charter for Thetford by Walter Giffard (BL Lansdowne 229, fol. 145v); this was probably the Ralph de Langetot of 1129.
Ralph is thought to have had three children by his unknown spouse. [2]
