Å koble Rane Eivindson med Thornberg-ætten blir derfor spekulativt (se også NST 2004). Men hvem er de andre som er listet som barn av Rane Eivindson?

Rane was living during the years 1349-1362. He was Knight and Baron of Tunsberg (now Tonsberg-oldest town in Norway).
