About Richard FitzEustace Clavering, Lord of Halton
http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISHNOBILITYMEDIEVAL3T-Z.htm#Ric...
Not called Clavering. His only connection with Clavering was through his daughter-in-law, Alice de Essex, probably daughter of Roger fitz Richard (who of course was not this Richard's son, or we'd have John the Constable marrying his own niece).
No connection with the Lacy name or estates during his lifetime. His widow inherited the Lacy estates from a cousin long after his death (and in fact after the death of his son and heir John the Constable).
Richard FitzEustace died in Halton, Cheshire, England
