Please do NOT add Unity Croshaw West [Unity West] as the wife of Robert Blackwell. Many web trees show that Robert Blackwell married Unity Croshaw, granddaughter of Raleigh Croshaw, Ancient Planter. The facts uncovered to date do not support this claim. The claim has Unity marrying Blackwell in c.1646 (at age 10), having a child with Blackwell in 1647(at age 11), and then marrying Col. West in 1654 (at age 18). Unity's age prevents Blackwell from being her first husband. No divorce decree has ever been found for Unity and husband Col. West. Therefore, Blackwell could not have legally become her second husband.
