About Robert Brooke, Merchant Tailor of London
Robert was a citizen and merchant tailor of London. He was buried as "an Aged man". His will is dated 26 June 5 Edward VI (1551), probated 21 July 1551 (PCC 18 Bucke). Wife Ketheryn was named sole Executrice, and given the use of the dwelling house for the term of her life, and after her death, that house to son John Broke, and if John die without issue, the house to his three daughters equally.
His parentage is unknown. From his will, dated 26 June 1551, we learn he had two nieces, Kathryn Noble, and Daye. The full transcription of his will, and that of his wife, Katheryn Brooke is found in The American Genealogist 55 (1979), page 193-197.
