James William Arrowood, son of James Arrowood of Maryland, was born in Maryland, before 1765. See his father's family for more information. James died after 1851 in Paint Fork, Madison, North Carolina, at age unknown.
He married Sarah Bryant, date unknown. Sarah was born abt. 1769. Sarah was the daughter of Benjamin Bryan. Sarah died date unknown at age unknown.
In the 1800 Census, James was listed as a head of household in Rowan, North Carolina. James and his wife were both age 45+. There were two girls and a boy age 10-15, and two boys and two girls all under age 10. The author believes that this is the correct census entry for John William.
