Funeral Notice CUSSEN the friends of Mr & Mrs A Pobar are respecfully invited to attend the funeral of their late beloved mother-in-law and mother. Mrs Sarah Jane Cussen, which is appointed to leave her late residence today, Muir-street, this day for the Toowoomba Cemetery.
Date of death in a memorial notice the following year by her daughter Josephine Pobar.

Darling Downs Gazette (Qld. : 1881 - 1922), Thursday 19 December 1918. [1] PERSONAL. A very old resident in the person of Mrs. Sarah Jane Cussen passed away at her residence yesterday, at the age of 69. She arrived in Brisbane in February 1859 on the old ship British Empire. With her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Bell, she went up to Jimbour station where they resided for 12 months. They then came and settled in Toowoomba on the Gowrie Road, and had lived in Toowoomba ever since. The deceased lady had a family of three children, one deceased. Mr. J. S. Cussen and Mrs. A. Pobar, of Toowoomba, are the survivors. The funeral arrangements are in the hands of Hiram Philp.
