Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 2nd Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir Francis Kinloch, Baronet [S 1686], of Gilmerton, only son and heir, had a charter of Gilmerton from his father, 3 March 1680; succeeded to Baronetcy in December 1691, and was served heir to his father 5 February 1692. He married in or before 1676, Mary (b. 1656) daughter of David Leslie, 1st Lord Newark [S] (the famous General) by Jean, daughter of Sir John Yorke. He was buried 11 September 1699 at Greyfriars. His widow married 18 January 1702, as his 2nd wife, Sir Alexander Ogilvy, 1st Baronet [S 1701], of Forglen, a Lord of Session (who died 1727), and died at Edinburgh, 24 March 1748 in her 93rd year."
