About Sir Humphrey de Beauchamp
He was Lord of Ryme, Intrinseca, Dorset and Oburnford, Oulescombe, Teinghervy and Buckerell, co. Devon; m. (1) by 1254, Sibyl Oliver, from whom he divorced between 1287 and 1290; married (2) after 10 August 1300, Alice, widow of Peter Corbet. With Alice, Sir Humphrey held the Manor of Silferton, co. Devon, in dower for the term of their lives. He first served overseas 1274 (Henry III), and by military Summons against the Scots (Edward I), as holding 40 pounds in Somerset and Dorset lands. Knight of the Shire in Parliment for Devon 1312, Devon and Dorset 1313 (Edward II).
