About Sir Richard Talbot, 4th Lord Talbot
Richard was the son of Gilbert Talbot[1]. The writ for the Inquisition of his father Gilbert 'Talebot' was dated 08 Sep, 2 Edward I (1274) and concerned lands in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Richard his son, aged 24 and more, was his next heir[2].
Richard Talbot died around 1306. Following a Writ of 3rd September, 34 Edward 1 [1306] his Inquisition concerned the manor of Eckeluswalle [Eccleswall], Herefordshire. Gilbert his son aged 29 on the feast of St Luke [18 October] last, was his next heir[6].
