About Sofia T. Reyes-de Veyra
Sofia Reyes de Veyra was a Filipino educator, social worker and co-founder (with Mary E. Coleman) of Asociacion Feminista Filipina, a women's suffrage movement. She was Vice President of the Centro Escolar University, and served as the social secretary to Presidents Manuel L. Quezon, Sergio Osmena, Manuel A. Roxas and Elpidio R. Quirino.
[It was with this generation that the 'delos' was dropped from the family surname.]
