About Te Manihera Rangitakaiwaho
Te Manihera Te Rangi-taka-i-waho (?–1885) was a notable New Zealand tribal leader, farmer and assessor. Of Māori descent, he identified with the Ngāti Kahungunu iwi. He was born in the Wairarapa, New Zealand .[1]

Have found a newspaper report on his Tangi on papers past under funeral of Manihera and it reports that at the end of the service he was carried by several natives a short distance to be buried in a temporary grave as it is the intention of the family to build a vault to inter the rest of the family already buried and him as well.
