I purposely do not mention wife or parents. There is no evidence (that I have found) to support naming them. There are too many references for James Seatons to be conclusive or to distinguish between father/sons/ nephews.

I propose waiting until DNA moves this research to the next level.

JAMES SEATON is likely to have been born ca. 1740. James Seaton could very well be part of the "clan" that was in the Northwest part of Virginia and Southwest Pennsylvania in the middle and late 1700s.

James mentioned on page 348 (son of George of Blair Perthshire, Scotland) is a strong possibiity. He had brothers John and Duncan.
