http://cybergata.com/roots/3829.htm
Ormerod's The History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, "Vernon of Shipbrook Pedigree," p. 252
Ormerod shows Warin de Vernon to be the son of Hugh de Vernon. He points out that Warin is sometimes placed as the brother rather than the son of Hugh de Vernon. The wife of Warin de Vernon is given by Ormerod as the daughter of Reginald Baillot. Ormerod also points out that somestimes she is given as the wife of Hugh de Vernon. The hildren of Warin de Vernon are shown as Richard de Vernon of Shipbrook and Matthew de Vernon, male ancestor of the Hulgreves of Hulgreve, and Erdswicks of Erswick, afterwards of Sandon.
- there were several other brothers in this family, including a Hugh. It seems there was [also] an Uncle Warin of Westley.
