Georgene Humphries was the first to make up a William Gibson III over 20 years ago. I had exchanged may emails with Georgene. She had a website, and her ancestral tree can be found at the LDS. In doing so, she moved William Gibson (1717-1771) birth date to about 1705, so she could include her ancestor a John Gibson (1725VA-1776NC), into her tree. This error is constantly copied over and over. -Gary T. Gibson

There was a Margaret Jane Spurgeon, who was born in Scotland about 1705, and died in NC in 1749. She married a William Gibson, who was born in Bull and Mouth, England about 1705. - Gary T. Gibson

William Martin (middle name in question) Gibson (just about nobody had a middle name in 1705)
On the marriage cert for William M. Gibson to Margaret Jane Spurgeon, it shows Martin for the c
